NOW STREAMING: THE TEACHING OF ACTION IN STRING PLAYING

First released in 1974, "The Teaching of Action in String Playing" is a foundational work in string pedagogy led by Professor Paul Rolland. The 14 films, divided into 21 segments, cover topics ranging from principles of movement in string playing, rhythm training, to establishing proper violin holds and bowing techniques. The films correspond to the published book, The Teaching of Action in String Playing. First made available in a digital format on DVD in 2009, the original films are now available to stream online for personal and educational use.
