Fiona Osborne

Fiona Osborne is a violinist with over thirty years’ experience as a teacher and performer.
Fiona was a member of the first violins of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Glasgow, UK, for 7 years, and has freelanced with many of the major orchestras in the UK. For the past twenty years, she has devoted her professional life to teaching the violin and is particularly interested in violin pedagogy. She has studied both the Suzuki method and is a certified Rolland teacher and presenter.
Fiona teaches in Glasgow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior School, Douglas Academy Music School, and the High School of Glasgow. Her pupils regularly go on tofurther study at music colleges throughout the UK, and careers as professional violinists. Fiona teaches beginner to advanced pupils, aged from three upwards.
Fiona graduated from The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England, in both solo violin and chamber music, having studied with Yossi Zivoni. Prior to this she studied with Nigel Murray at St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh, Scotland.
