Blaynes Barnes

Violinist Blayne Barnes has performed, recorded, and toured with some of the most highly regarded orchestras in the US, including the Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, and Oregon Symphony, and is a founder and co-leader of Seattle’s conductorless chamber orchestra, the North Corner Chamber Orchestra. He is a sought-after violin teacher in the Seattle area, drawing upon his extensive training in both Rolland and Suzuki pedagogy. Blayne received degrees from the University of Oregon and Arizona State University. At ASU, Blayne was fortunate to study with Rolland pedagogue Dr. Marla Mutschler, who was Paul Rolland’s Research Associate for The Teaching of Action in String Playing.
